Why blurry and dark photos are harder
A portrait can only be as clear as the photo it is based on. Blurry images make fine details hard to see, and dark images hide the markings and the shape of the face.
What quick fixes help before I send?
- Move to a window or outdoors for natural daylight.
- Turn off the flash, which can wash out the face.
- Tap your pet's face on your phone to focus before shooting.
- Wait for a still moment, or take several photos and pick the sharpest.
What happens if the photo is not ideal?
You receive a digital preview within 2–3 business days. If the photo is holding back the design, we will tell you during the preview stage. You can then send a clearer photo or request changes during the up to 3 free revision rounds.
Why approval comes first
We do not stitch until you approve the design. That gives you a chance to check the likeness before anything is made, even if your photo was not perfect.
Frequently asked questions
Can I send an old photo?
Yes, if it is the best photo you have. We will review it and show you the preview before production begins.
Will a blurry photo ruin the portrait?
A blurry photo makes detail harder to capture. The preview lets you see the result first, so you can decide whether to send a clearer photo.
